Easter

Well, we had a pretty hectic Easter at the Linn ranch!  B and I went to the ranch for lunch on friday with the Barefeet clan.  We were lucky enough to have grandpa and grandma Linn with us for the weekend.  I am sure they were tired after we left, it was chaos as usual!  Christian and Brock can open the houses' doors, so they were all over the place.  Grady ate and ate and ate.  I thought his belly was going to burst!  Here are some pics of Friday.
 One happy nudie!
We heart the golf cart!  Brock is a great driver.
This little guy loves balls.  Later he took a bite out of it.  No joke.

The kiddos LOVED the golf cart.  They made it their own personal playground. Here is the Easter egg hunt.
It was a little windy.
How cute is this Peep loving guy?

Here was our attempt to take photos before Easter church.

Guess who is done with pictures?
Future Senior VP
So, right before we headed to church, I took this photo of Brock. About 5 second later he took a digger off the golf cart and he had to go into the emergency room and have 3 stitches.  This outfit is probably no longer wearable for him.  He is fine, and the stitches came out thursday.  What can I say?  Life with the boys is CRAZY!!

Whew

Well, today was a doozie of a day for Grady and the twins.  This morning Jenn and I loaded up the gang and took them to a park in Highland Park for a picture with the Easter Bunny.  Sounds easy, right?  Well, not so much.  As I have said before, Grady would rather eat dirt and die than hold my hand anymore.  He pulls his hand away and then whines.  It is as effective as anything on the planet.  This can go on for literally 15 minutes as we do a tug of war for who will win.  We are both super stubborn.  We have even had to come home from walks because of this very issue.  Anyway, at the park we went to, it is next to a creek, so there is some crazy terrain.  Jenn and I set Grady and the twins down and it is like they were fighting to see who could wander off the fastest.  Then the bunny showed up, Jenn set the twins on the bunny and Christian lost it (he hates new fuzzy or jolly fictitious characters, Santa is on his list as well), so Jenn had to sit in.  Then the photographer lady was out of memory on her camera, so Jenn had to delete pictures while holding Christian. See below.
Then I totally cut in line and shoved G onto the bunny's lap, took a few quick snaps and we all headed out of the park.  G whined the way back to the car, since like a prison warden I forced him to hold hands.
Nope, not looking at the camera any more Mom, you have to be quicker than that!
Gotcha!
Then we all went to the Highland Park park and the toddlers continued their olympic like runs around the park, every one in a different direction.  Jenn and I only lasted for 30 minutes and we normally do about an hour. Then it was off to Purple Cow for lunch and the babies chowed on mac and cheese.  Who doesn't love mac and cheese?  G had such a good day he fell asleep about 30 seconds into our drive home, even though Lady Gaga was on and I was rocking out.  Now he is still snoozing and I got in some yard work.  Ahh... afternoon naps how I love thee.
Here is the picture the bunny's helper took.  How cute does he look?

Weekend Travel

So, this weekend we flew to Odessa to see the Brazelton clan, and it was the first time we flew with a fully mobile, opinionated, son.  On the way there, he was a little sassy, but it went well overall.  On the way home, our plane was an hour late and so the little guy got cranky, but he got over it with some yogurt bites, crackers and fruit.  I swear that kid is never so happy as when we are feeding him fruit and carbs.  On both flights we let him watch an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba.  How did parents go anywhere before portable tv?  I know, we are not supposed to show him tv until he is 18 (parent guidelines), but you try and explain you moral high horse to the back of a packed plane.  Ha ha!

This is him last week, doing his best impression of an older gentleman with high waters.
Here is a "training video" we will show him when he is learning how to mow the lawn. This reminds me of the summer Dad planted some special high maintenance grass and we had to mow it with an old school push mower.  Those things are a lot harder than they look!  I though Jenn would never get the back yard mowed. Today someone told me they make those kind of mowers that have a motor on them and now I suspect that Dad knew about it and just purchased the less expensive one.  I smell a conspiracy here.
I swear that he said Kittie this week, Bryan heard it too.  He is also working on Ba (ball) and Do (doggie). When he wants something now, he just points to it and says Ba.  This means everything to the box of crackers or his wooby. He is also trying to climb up on everything and is getting really brave.  He also has no concept of Stranger Danger.  To him, a new person is just someone he hasn't charmed yet.  Spend 10 seconds with him and you are deemed a perfect person to hold him.  Bryan's Gran said he was the same way.  She said that one time Bryan walked up to a lady and basically wanted to go home with her.  I guess our little family is just genetically friendly.

There will be more pictures after we get them back from the Brazeltons and Grady's Uncle Bynum!

Apr 4, 2011

This weekend the Brazelton clan was in town, including Grammy (Robbie) and Dan Dan, Blake and Kasey and Great Aunt Frankie Bell. We all went over to the Mason's home to visit with Frankie Bell and Grandad.  Luckily for us, we got  to visit and also take a few pics of Grady in the bluebonnets!  As usual, it would probably have been easier to take a movie, he really isn't into taking pictures.

His shirt says Dirt Magnet.

It's really hard to get him to look at the camera, but it finally happened!

He is wearing 24 month shirts, but his 24 month shorts are a little long for him.  It is kind of funny since I get most of his clothes in outfits and the shorts are more like little boy capri pants!

Grady loves to go on walks, but he is getting more insistent that he doesn't want to hold my hand and that doesn't work for me.  If you keep trying, he often will throw a mini tantrum.  Let me tell you, it is almost more cute than anything because he isn't very good at it yet.  He works into it and then gets distracted by something.  It is like, oh, I am angry, wait, something shiny!!  He is also getting really good at using Hi and waving.  He also now waves bye-bye when someone leaves.  This is such a fun age.

Well,he is bringing me "Daddy's Kisses" to read him, so I am off.
